Images for Book Covers, Album Artwork & Editorial Projects
Much of my work lends itself naturally to book covers, album artwork, and editorial use — images that suggest narrative, atmosphere, and emotional tone rather than literal description.
Working across photography and mixed-media processes, I’m drawn to images that feel unresolved, quiet, and open to interpretation. These are not illustrations of a story, but spaces where a story can begin.
My approach prioritises mood, surface, and restraint — qualities that sit comfortably within literary and musical contexts.
The images often carry:
a strong sense of atmosphere
space for typography and layout
ambiguity rather than fixed meaning
a timeless, non-trend-led surface
a tactile, material quality that translates well to print
I’m particularly interested in images that leave room for text, silence, and interpretation — allowing writers, musicians, and designers to complete the work in their own way.
Below are a small number of visualisations showing how selected works might sit within book and album cover formats. These are not proposed designs, but gentle suggestions of scale, tone, and placement.
Selected works are available for licensing or commission for:
book covers and jackets
album and vinyl artwork
editorial and cultural publications
I’m happy to collaborate directly with publishers, record labels, designers, writers, and musicians — or to supply imagery prepared and ready for layout.
Each project is approached with sensitivity to tone, pacing, and context rather than a one-size-fits-all solution.
