Unmasked suggests the act of unveiling, or revealing some hitherto hidden and concealed objects, processes, or ideas. Ten UK and internationally based artists come together to explore various aspects of their own hidden psyches, which are now exposed and in full view.
The multimedia installation below was born out of active visulisation, a technique developed by Carl Gustav Jung for exploring the sub- and unconscious.
Jung said that:
“completely new thoughts and creative ideas can present themselves from the unconscious – thoughts and ideas that have never been conscious before.
They grow up from the dark depths of the mind like a lotus and form a most important part of the subliminal psyche” (Jung, 1964, p.45).

I was flattered to be asked by my fellow artists – to shoot a video and present the exhibition as one of my effigies. This is the video of ‘The Persona’ presenting our online show.
Below:
This video was the first test install for the effigies/video sculptures in a gallery – I needed to figure out if the acoustics for the effigies allowed the dialogue to be heard properly and to figure out the best site within the gallery space, also taking into account the other artists work.
